Payment to Creators is supported directly on the Creatable platform. Creators, upon creating their account, are able to set up their W-9 and payment preferences directly with Creatable on the Creator app and receive payments globally via the method of their choosing. Any of the following 3 payment models can be used to pay creators, all controlled and set in your account on the dashboard.
Commission for sales
Sales are qualified for commission via attribution to creator content and link engagement, as follows:
Video Sales - A "Video Sale" is an order placed by a customer who, in the 30 days prior to the order, generated an on-site video view or clicked on a product on a video, where such on-site event was the last event prior to placing the order. The Video Sale will be attributed to the creator who created the applicable video.
Photo Sales - A "Photo Sale" is an order placed by a customer who, in the 30 days prior to the order, generated an on-site photo view or clicked on a product on a photo, where such on-site event was the last event prior to placing the order. The Photo Sale will be attributed to the creator who created the applicable video.
Storefront Visits - Each visit to a Creator Storefront on your site will generate either a Video or Photo Sale determined by the most recent Video or Photo posted where such on-site visit was the last event prior to placing the order. Please note that Storefront Visits cannot generate qualified sales until the creator has posted at least one video or photo.
- Creator Link Sales - A "Creator Link Sale" is generated when a customer clicks on a Creator Link (“C-link”) and then places an order within 30 days, where the click was the last event prior to placing the order. C-links are accessible by the creator for every product in your catalog, directly from the creator app, and form the call-to-action links used in any creator campaign.
Commission for qualified sales can be configured for your Ambassador program from the Creatable brand dashboard, directly in your account. You can set default commission rates for all creators in your program and/or adjust any rate for specific creators, as you deem appropriate at any time.
Additionally, this can be set on an individual creator basis on the creator profile.
Creators can also be paid for the successful completion of a campaign directly on the Creatable platform.
An important part of setting up a campaign in your account is the configuration of payout for campaign participation. Creators who you accept into your campaign and who have successfully completed all steps of the campaign workflow will have a payment triggered automatically and receive such payment in accordance with the payment preferences set up in the creator application.
Finally, you can initiate ad-hoc payments to any creator at any time to cover for a payment for which commission may not be applicable/desired and/or would fall outside of campaigns. The payment will display on the creator's statement for the month in which such payment is made. Such payments can be initiated to cover monthly retainers, product reimbursements, bonuses, or other reasons that may arise for paying creators.
